Brave & Wild Heart

Delighted to introduce Sherri Welser from IndigoEarth & WildHeart Art Studio as one of the special guest artist guides joining me for the new Brave Boots, Brave Hearts e-course! <3 🙂

I asked Sherri to join me because I love her fabulous creations and her attitude toward life. She often shares inspiration on facebook that makes my heart smile!  We are in several of the same online art groups, yet I think I first came across her work when searching for the term: “wildheart.”  We both appreciate and find inspiration in the natural world around us.  It has been a blessing to get to know Sherri better.  She has been through one of the hardest things I can imagine and still shows up to this bittersweet life full of love and courage.  She is a beautiful example of putting brave boots on and living with a brave heart.  Everyone that chooses to join us for the Brave Boots, Brave Hearts experience is lucky to have Sherri as one of our special guest artist guides!

I’m so excited to do the projects that Sherri is offering right along with the course participants!  I love the idea of making a necklace as a reminder to keep putting our brave boots on and living true to our own brave hearts.  I’m also really looking forward to learning how she makes the inspirational and adorable clay ‘pocket love hearts’.  I think these will make great gifts of encouragement for both myself and others. 🙂 <3

What does “brave” mean to you?

“Being Brave” to me  means stepping outside of my comfort zone,  finding  unique adventures in life and “diving in”, trusting my heart and the decisions made from my heart, embracing both the good and bad as in each situation there is growth.

Do you have a favorite quote about courage?

“When you come to the edge of all the light you have, and must take a step into the darkness of the unknown, believe that one of two things will happen. Either there will be something solid for you to stand on – or you will be taught how to fly.” – Patrick Overton

How does creativity encourage you?

That is an interesting question as I am always filled with ideas and creative energy and feel that there is never enough time in the day!

Why did you choose to say, “Yes” to being a guest?

I was thrilled to be asked to be a guide in your E-course Julia and love to share with others and felt this was a great opportunity to connect with other lovely art souls!

Would you share some art you’ve created that you feel has really encouraged you or inspired and helped you to get in tune with your own brave heart? 

It is very important for me to include inspiration in all of my pieces whether it is through my artwork or jewelry… it is my mantra in life to help make a positive difference in the lives around me and to leave nothing but beautiful footprints upon this earth!

About Sherri in her own words:

I have always loved the idea of beautiful colors, textures and designs coming together in a unique creative manner whether it is through jewelry or mixed media artwork. Just as important, is the meaning behind the “creative expression of ones’ self”. The basis to all my art and jewelry  work  is to offer  positive meaning in hopes of providing a lasting impression on those who view my work. Whether it is something that is worn everyday or looked at on a wall… to me it isn’t just the beauty of an item, but the message it sends to others.  We all walk a different journey but hopefully holding hands together… If I can add to someone’s day in beautiful way… my hopes have been achieved… and by all means I am hoping they pass it on to others and choose to help enrich the lives of those they touch as well!  It is important to find what you love and what creates “passion” in your life.  What a joy and blessing to be able to share that with others.
