As the days near the darkest night of the year, my heart and soul are grateful for the twinkling lights that add magic to the mountain air.
The holidays can be a time of great joy, yet can be pretty overwhelming sometimes, too. Want to take a deep breath with me?! 😉 Perhaps light a candle and take a moment to be still?
Stillness doesn’t often come easy to me. I’ve been choosing a word (or a few) each new year for a while now and the very first time I did so (years ago), the word was, “do” – as in, take action on all the daydreams and ideas. Lately, the trees seem to be inviting me with their beautiful bones to seek stillness. And while this may not be the word I choose to focus on this year, it is something I intend to nurture… like the calm within the eye of a storm… in the fullness that can sometimes feel chaotic in daily life. I’m making up my own little ritual for this winter solstice, about giving thanks, inviting blessings, and letting heartlight shine. I’m making two videos, one about the activity/ritual and sharing a poem (from the new Warrior Soul book) and another short video tutorial for the super easy and quick painted candle holder to go along with it (which is intended to help foster these brief moments of stillness and breathing with gratitude). I’m giving these videos to any who choose to receive. Simply add your info to the Loving Rd address book to get the email with access information when it’s ready in a few days. <3
I’m currently hosting two online collaborative e-courses and have loved the process. It’s like all these other past parts of me, many from so long ago they feel like past lives, have come together in a harmonious and meaningful way to enable this. The amazing creations from all the participants have been making my heart sing and smile! I’m so grateful that I listened to the whispers to do this. I hope that I’ll be able to participate as a guide in many more online art courses. I love sharing the magic of the creative process with others and passing on the joy and experience! Hence, I am grateful to be a guest artist guide in the upcoming Mixed Media Mythology course hosted by Sarah Leonard, which happens to be on sale for half-off right now! 🙂 Sarah posted a short interview with me about my offering for the course.
The other 2 collaborative courses that I’m currently hosting will be closing for registration January 9th. Gift certificates are still available until then. 🙂 I’ve given myself the gift of creativity when purchasing e-courses from other artists as well as making the time for personal projects. I hope anyone who feels a creative spark inside may do the same! <3
As the collaborative courses come to a close, each contributing artist may make their individual portion of the bigger course available separately (making it more affordable). I’m doing this with my offering from the Art of Gratitude course, Growing Gratitude, and it is available to purchase now for only $29. The self-paced videos and downloadable content are all in the playroom (classroom) ready to access. Gift certificates are also available.
I hope all that would enjoy and appreciate the creative magic in any of these courses may have the opportunity. <3
Yes, I’m with one of twin boys’ favorite authors, Roald Dahl, when it comes to magic:
“And above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places. Those who don’t believe in magic will never find it.”
– Roald Dahl
May we find magic in the air! <3
