Work in Progress/Pictures! Busy few weeks, with art and life! Maybe life is an art? Several pictures and saving the best for last! Probably least words and most pictures of any post yet. Too much going on to say as much as usual about each one. Hope that something here will bring a smile or some encouragement to those that take the time to visit the blog…
Playing in the sketch book a lot the past 2 weeks:
Had fun with this guy while drawing with my son. He was getting frustrated so I tried to draw side by side with him, quickly and playfully, just being goofy as we considered hair, mustache, beard, etc. My son decided he’s a magician.
Working on some more brave boots as well…. trying to make a few that are more gender neutral or masculine.
And a very special brave girl boot in progress for my friend’s daughter that has spinal surgery coming up! I was told she loves blue and purple and Chinese symbols. Now, I just need to figure out how to mail it because it is life size.
Lots of time in the garden and kitchen this time of year! Need some salsa music. 🙂
Also, trying to help my husband finish this tree house for our boys (saving scraps for art!).
Several evenings playing rock band with my boys and husband…. sing as if no one is listening, right?!
And my current faves! For 2 awesome friends. <3
My first ever sketch/painting from a picture. Belated birthday girl, with lots of soul! Not quite done, but she makes me happy. 🙂
For my angel, the friend that has helped me get through the grief and hardest time of my life when I lost my mom and who has helped me to SHINE with her encouragement, acceptance, amazing attitude, generosity, humor, beauty, strength, faith, example, vitality, and LOVE. Thank you, Candace. I spent several days with this one and she was never good enough. I learned that I cannot begin to capture the true beauty of these souls that light up my life and fill my heart. I finally decided to be happy with an essence and a tribute to the wonderful blessing of friendship!
I hope you dance!
You’ve been busy Julia! The treehouse is amazing!! I really love the final painting. Just love the colours and the message.
So creative!!!
