As Winter Solstice approaches, it’s a great time to get cozy with wonderful books and art supplies and spend time with kids… even if that’s the child within us! 🙂
I love children’s books any time of year, but the holidays especially seem like a great time to enjoy them, whether we have kids in our lives or to nurture our inner child. I invite you to join me. I am so grateful that our library system shares state wide so we have a fabulous selection of awesome books. I checked all of these out from the library first before deciding to buy a few favorites. I loved the first 2 so much that I bought copies for my nieces and nephew as well as my self/home! The sweet stories encourage creativity and expression so beautifully. I also like to read some of the books that my 8th grade twin boys read so we can talk about them together. We all enjoyed the Greenglass House so much that I also purchased it to add to our home library (and lend to friends) even though we already read it from the library. Both the Greenglass House and the Winterhouse take place around Christmas and are fun mysteries. If you’re enjoying summer in the southern hemisphere instead, the Inside My Imagination book is not related to any particular season.

I’m tempted to purchase the bottom 3 as well even though we’ve already read them, especially the Winter Dance… of course it speaks right to my soul since the title and topic of the book I published this year is The Girl Who Dances With Delight! It’s been 6 months since I let my book out into the world and the experience has been interesting. I love hearing from readers who relate and enjoy it.
