{Video} Sweet Serendipity & Card Deck Anniversary

It’s been about a year since I finished making my 2 inspiration card decks. It has been a true blessing to witness how people have welcomed them into their lives and hear the stories of such amazing synchronicity. People often share how ‘spot on’ the cards are for them when they use them or receive one with a signed book from me.

When I offer for someone to pick a card, they almost always tell me a story of why that was the card for them that day. I’ve even had people ask if they can buy the deck out of my hands when sharing from my purse! Yes, of course. 🙂 Have you had any serendipitous experiences using decks like this that you’d like share in the comments?

Many of the words I chose to use with my art on the cards were from a word collection I kept for prayers. I would sometimes reference the words while crocheting hope hats and baby blankets. I also frequently paint prayers. Hence, the cards feel a bit like blessing cards to me.

I originally created the decks due to a personal health scare. I wanted my boys to have a way to hold some part of my loving energy and essence in their hands if I couldn’t be around. I gave them each a double decker last November for their 13th birthdays (twins). One of them wanted to draw a card right away and guess what he ended up with!?! The FESTIVITY card! Do you call that stuff coincidence or serendipity?

I’ve come to love using oracle card decks for inspiration, a tool for tuning in to my own inner wisdom, for the energy and for the beautiful art. It’s a great way to collect mini art prints more affordably than bigger individual art prints (one deck is usually comparable to one or two art prints in price). I have several decks from other artists in addition to the ones I created with love. I send a coupon code for $5 off any of the decks in my shop with every email newsletter.

I kept two cards from the decks I created near me while writing my recent book: Confidence and Liberation. I let them cheer me on to remind me to trust myself and speak freely. I think of inspiration or oracle cards as tools, like a radio antenna, that can help us to have less static and tune in to our own wisdom more clearly using the imagery and ideas as prompts. I usually invite beautiful blessings and loving guidance before selecting a card. I sometimes draw the cards without being able to see the art side and sometimes choose cards while looking through the art side and trusting what seems to sing to me in the moment. It’s been a step up from the ‘magic 8 ball’ I had as a kid for me! 😉

Here’s a flashback to the video from last year’s ribbon cutting celebration (I cut ribbons to wrap the decks. 😉 ) if you’d like to hear the story from then. I was exhausted from all the blood loss, health issues, and stress, which shows. I’m so glad to be feeling better!

Thanks for time traveling with me. 😉 I did order more decks since then, but I’m not sure if I will order more again or not depending on how long it takes to break even and pay the printing bill! So, I’m not sure how long they’ll be available. I do love the cards I’ve been using for the past year that have my fingerprints all over them in the preview video. I hope to continue offering them.
