Take me to the Magic of the Moment… on the Wind of Change. This has been the theme song for this new painting! She has taken me on quite a journey and has so much to say. She also insisted on giving a bow to the divine wonder within each of us.
Original and Art Prints Available
Though I haven’t heard the song in years, some of the lyrics to the Scorpion song, “Wind of Change” started playing in my head while painting. We continued to sing the chorus (slightly altered) together through the rest of the painting. Once she was feeling about finished, her voice started pouring out. She kept me up much of the night! I’ve got many scribbled pages in my journal that I may eventually type up and share more of, along with some in progress, ‘behind the scenes,’ pictures. I’ll save that for another day because she really seems to want to reach out and be seen on this last day of the month and new moon. Here are some excerpts from my journal with her messages for now:
“I am the Wind of Change. I am the breath, the life force. I am the metta prayers that you utter for friend and foe alike. I am the mist that kisses your skin on a cool mountain morning and the tree that catches you when you fall back and sink down to the Earth and shed your salty tears. I am the mother, the father, the son, the daughter, the unborn babe, the grandparents, and the children of tomorrow. I am the medicine wheel and the four directions. I am the seeds sprouting, the spring daffodils rising, the ferns unfurling, the blooms opening, the summer fruit growing, the autumn leaves drifting and decomposing, the winter snow falling. I am the magic of the moment. I am the wind of change. I am the creator and the explorer, the virgin and the crone. I am the birth and death in each breath, each day, the ocean and the wave, the dark and light, the yin and yang, the ebb and flow, the root and fruit, the chicken and the egg. I am the wise woman and the reverend, the potter, and the alchemist. I am the weaver and the web, the womb, the nectar of life, the sun that shines and rain that falls, the shadow and the reflection, the story and the dream, the snake skin, the forgotten cocoon, the honey, the nourishing milk that flows from the breast, the paradox and Pandora’s box, the singer and the song, the mud and the lotus, the wishes on the stars, the grape, the vine, and the dizzy wine, the maple seed twirling, the humming of the wings, the velvet rose petal, the lace of wild carrot, the butterfly bush, the beech tree, the acorn and the oak, the smoke of the peace pipe, the candles on the cake, each brush stroke of paint, the blowing bubbles, the rocking chair, the cat chasing its tail, the bitter and the sweet, the full and empty space, the inhale, exhale, and the in between, the pleasure and the pain, the now and then, the present, the eagle eyes and vision quest, the joy that wants to be born, the all that is, the whole Shebang. I am the wonder. I am the tides. Sail with me into the mystic on the wind of change. Look up or down or all around. Look within. I am the here now, the circle of life, the holy spirit, the chi, the prana, kundalini and Houdini, the clown, the ringmaster and the circus tent, the fairytale and the guardian angel, the messenger, the voice, the laughter, the elder child, the ancestral circle, the temple and the cave, the mother within, the well of shades, the wolfskin, and the daughter of the forest, the battlefield and hospital, the entire set and stage. No need to audition, try any roles on. Come play with me! I am the magic of the moment. I am the wind of change.”

This morning, I thanked her for flowing forth through me, for entrusting me with her presence, wonder, and voice. It felt like finishing. Yet, she still has so much to say. Perhaps even a book or a video! It’s like she is asking me for another dance. So, I shall take her hand and let her lead. She really is insistent and kept nudging me to share this on the new moon when I really wanted to be outside on this beautiful day! So, I’ve compromised and taken the laptop outside where I sit in the front yard next to the woods while typing this! Maybe she knew someone needed her message/blessing today?
*Update October 2018 ~ It’s been 2 years since I finished this painting and she continues to guide and watch over me in my studio. I’ve since created the Soul Songs inspiration card deck, which features this painting on one of the cards (pictured above). I’m also giving The Present online course to all email VIPs who sign up before October 31, 2018. I’m grateful for this journey and the ability to share a bit of it with you. Her message and medicine also came forth in various ways in my book, The Girl Who Dances With Delight. I’m still dancing with her. 😉
She came forth as part of the process from a course I took this month with artist, Flora Aube from the Art of Allowing Academy, about Painting the Divine Feminine. There are so many other references and influences that I am sure have helped her communicate with me as well! I am in another group that was exploring Goddesses this month, the Fierce Grace Collective, and I’ve been reading the Warrior Goddess Training book by Heatherash Amara. I’m also part of another art course and group, A Year of Healing with Alena Hennessy, that had a Goddess lesson and has been exploring clarity and healing. I’ve also been working on the next Thrivival course retreat that I host about “The Present.” I listened to “Mother Night” by Dr. Clarissa Pinkola Estes from audible while painting and “You’re It” by Alan Watts while I was working on construction in the basement during the same time period. One of my favorite fantasy authors also had an influence, Juliet Marillier, along with more songs, nature, the equinox, various cultures, etc! She is dedicated to what Clarissa Pinkola Estes refers to as the Tribe of the Sacred Heart, which probably includes you. ♡

Beautiful Blessings & Wild Wonderful Wishes to you! ♡♡♡
